On Love & Marriage

They say that marriage is a thing of the past… that’s in an antiquated way of dealing with the world and is no longer a sustainable entity…

But I choose to believe in it.

I believe that it is beautiful, special, sacred, wonderful and life-changing. I believe it’s possible for two lives to be so intertwined and interconnected that it only makes sense for them to become one. Each should retain little branches that stick out from the main root of the tree, but each of these branches is fueled by the same life-source feeding the trunk.

I believe that love can happen in an instant.

Though it may take time for it to fully develop, mature, and come to its fullest peak, it is possible for forever to flash before you in an instant. Some say that love’s true kiss is a fairy tale, but I choose to believe that there is a spark that can only be felt with your one true kiss.

And what about the first glance?

I think it is in the first true glances that you can feel the way in which your soul is being pulled towards another’s… It is almost as if there has always been an invisible string drawing the two of you together; though each of you started in separate worlds, this string has slowly been unwinding, untwining and coiling until the two of you stand before each other, staring in the other’s eyes and saying a simple… hello.
